Plain-English acceptance: By submitting an advertising request, providing advertising materials, approving submitted content, or completing payment, the advertiser agrees to these Lake Wedowee Discovery Advertising Placement Terms.
1. Who These Terms Apply To
These terms apply to any person, business, organization, event organizer, property owner, real estate professional, service provider, advertiser, sponsor, or representative who submits, purchases, approves, or participates in a paid or promoted placement on Lake Wedowee Discovery.
2. Advertising Placement Is Subject To Review
Payment begins the advertising request process, but payment does not automatically guarantee publication. Every placement is reviewed before publication. Lake Wedowee Discovery may approve, decline, edit, remove, pause, request changes to, or refuse any submitted content or placement that is incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, inappropriate, low quality, outside the service area, not a good fit for the site, or inconsistent with Lake Wedowee Discovery standards.
3. What Advertising Placement Includes
The specific placement depends on the advertising product purchased. A placement may include, when applicable, a Lake Directory Card, Lake Directory Carousel Card, Event Feature Card, Business Spotlight Card & Page, Property / Listing Promotion Card & Page, Broker or Realtor Feature Card & Page, Page Featured Spotlight Card & Page, Homepage Featured Spotlight Card & Page, Featured Article Card & Page, Lake Access Map visibility, or other supporting visibility approved by Lake Wedowee Discovery.
Placement descriptions on the advertising page explain the general purpose of each product. Final layout, wording, image use, order, rotation, page location, and display may vary depending on screen size, site design, available materials, active advertisers, category fit, page fit, and publication needs.
4. No Guarantee Of Leads, Sales, Traffic, Ranking, Or Results
Lake Wedowee Discovery sells advertising placement, local visibility, directory presentation, and feature-page publication. Lake Wedowee Discovery does not guarantee clicks, calls, emails, website visits, leads, customers, sales, search engine ranking, social media engagement, traffic volume, revenue, or any specific business result.
5. Advertiser Responsibility For Accuracy
The advertiser is responsible for providing accurate, lawful, current, and truthful information. This includes business names, contact information, addresses, hours, service details, prices, claims, event information, real estate details, property details, photos, links, logos, videos, and any other submitted material.
The advertiser must promptly notify Lake Wedowee Discovery if published information becomes inaccurate, outdated, misleading, or needs correction.
6. Permission To Use Submitted Materials
By submitting text, photos, logos, graphics, videos, links, property details, event details, business details, or other materials, the advertiser confirms that they have the right to provide and use those materials for advertising purposes. The advertiser gives Lake Wedowee Discovery permission to use, crop, resize, edit, format, display, publish, and promote those materials as part of the advertising placement.
Lake Wedowee Discovery may also create promotional images, written copy, summaries, cards, excerpts, feature layouts, and supporting content for approved placements. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Lake Wedowee Discovery may continue using site-created layout, formatting, and promotional structure as part of its portfolio, examples, samples, or internal records.
7. Advertising Disclosure
Paid placements, sponsored placements, promoted cards, featured articles, featured map pins, and other paid visibility may be labeled as sponsored, featured, promoted, advertising, paid placement, or similar wording where Lake Wedowee Discovery determines disclosure is appropriate.
8. Billing, Renewals, And Payment
Some placements may be one-time purchases. Other placements may renew monthly, every 90 days, yearly, or on another stated billing schedule. Recurring advertising placements renew automatically until canceled, unless the payment processor or written arrangement states otherwise.
The advertiser is responsible for keeping payment information current. If a payment fails, is disputed, is reversed, is canceled, or is not completed on time, Lake Wedowee Discovery may pause, remove, or end the placement and may treat the account as interrupted.
9. Introductory Local Launch Rate Guarantee
Advertisers who sign up during Lake Wedowee Discovery Introductory Local Launch Rates may keep their original placement rate as long as the same advertising account and same placement remain active, current, paid, and uninterrupted.
If a placement is canceled, allowed to lapse, materially changed, upgraded, downgraded, restarted later, transferred to a different advertiser, moved into a materially different advertising product, or interrupted by failed payment or nonpayment, the rate guarantee may end and current pricing may apply.
The rate guarantee applies only to the specific active placement account that qualified for the introductory rate. It does not guarantee pricing for new placements, added services, custom work, major redesigns, expanded campaigns, additional cards, additional pages, additional categories, or future advertising products unless Lake Wedowee Discovery agrees in writing.
10. Cancellations
Advertisers may cancel future recurring billing before the next renewal date. Canceling stops future billing, but the current paid placement may remain active through the end of the paid term unless removed earlier by request, policy issue, payment dispute, or other site need.
If an advertiser cancels and later wants to restart, the placement may be subject to current pricing, current availability, current layout standards, and current review requirements.
11. Refunds
Payments generally cover review, setup, preparation, publication, reserved visibility, and advertising placement. Refunds are not guaranteed after work has begun, after a placement has been reviewed, prepared, published, reserved, or made active. Lake Wedowee Discovery may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
If Lake Wedowee Discovery declines a submitted placement before publication because it is not a good fit, incomplete, outside the service area, inappropriate, misleading, or otherwise unsuitable, Lake Wedowee Discovery may offer a correction opportunity, alternate placement, credit, partial refund, or refund depending on the situation.
12. Updates And Changes
Advertisers may request standard content updates at reasonable intervals or at renewal. Standard updates may include minor text corrections, one replacement image, link changes, contact corrections, or basic placement corrections.
Major rewrites, redesigned feature pages, multiple image swaps, new offers, new listings, new events, new campaigns, expanded galleries, custom video work, substantial layout changes, or a materially different advertisement may require an additional update, design, writing, or setup fee.
13. Placement Availability And Category Limits
Some placements are limited in number to protect advertiser visibility and prevent overcrowding. Lake Directory Cards may be limited by category. Homepage Featured Spotlight placements may be exclusive for a stated period. Page Featured Spotlight placements may depend on relevant page availability and page fit.
Lake Wedowee Discovery may adjust layout, rotation, order, display, overflow visibility, alternate category placement, waitlist placement, or supporting visibility based on site needs, advertiser count, category fit, and available space.
14. Lake Directory Card Eligibility
Higher-level advertising packages may include Lake Directory Card eligibility while the account remains active, but eligibility does not guarantee placement in any specific category if that category is full, unsuitable, unavailable, or not the best fit. Lake Wedowee Discovery may offer a suitable alternate category, waitlist placement, carousel / overflow visibility, or other supporting visibility.
15. Lake Access Map Placement
Lake Access Map Placement may be included with qualifying active advertising packages when the business, event, property, or featured location is within the stated Lake Wedowee service range and is a good fit for visitor planning. Featured map pins and related listing cards may be removed when the qualifying paid advertising period ends unless renewed.
16. Service Area And Fit
Lake Wedowee Discovery focuses on Lake Wedowee, Wedowee, Randolph County, and surrounding areas that reasonably serve Lake Wedowee visitors, residents, property owners, and local communities. Lake Wedowee Discovery may decline or limit placements that are outside the service area or not a good fit for the site.
17. Right To Edit Or Refuse Content
Lake Wedowee Discovery may edit submitted wording for clarity, formatting, length, grammar, layout, search visibility, readability, tone, or consistency with the site. Lake Wedowee Discovery may refuse or remove content that includes false claims, unsupported claims, offensive material, adult content, illegal activity, misleading statements, unsafe claims, poor-quality material, broken links, inappropriate images, or content that creates risk for the site or community.
18. Advertiser Compliance
The advertiser is responsible for complying with applicable laws, rules, licenses, professional standards, advertising rules, industry requirements, real estate rules, event requirements, property disclosure requirements, intellectual property rights, and any other obligations that apply to the advertiser or the advertised product, service, property, event, or organization.
19. Third-Party Links And Services
Advertising placements may link to third-party websites, social media pages, payment pages, listing pages, forms, phone numbers, email addresses, maps, videos, or other external resources. Lake Wedowee Discovery is not responsible for third-party websites, broken external links, third-party platform changes, third-party availability, or the content of external pages controlled by others.
20. Removal, Pause, Or Termination
Lake Wedowee Discovery may remove, pause, decline, or terminate a placement if payment fails, content is inaccurate, the advertiser requests removal, the placement becomes unsuitable, the business closes, the event passes, the property sells, the account becomes inactive, the advertiser violates these terms, or the placement creates a concern for the site or community.
21. Changes To These Terms
Lake Wedowee Discovery may update these Advertising Placement Terms as the site grows, products change, pricing changes, placement structure changes, or operational needs change. Updated terms may apply to new submissions, renewals, restarted accounts, changed placements, and future advertising products.
22. Agreement Checkbox Wording
By submitting this request and/or completing payment, I agree to the Lake Wedowee Discovery Advertising Placement Terms. I understand that all placements are reviewed before publication, that advertising placement does not guarantee leads, sales, traffic, search ranking, or results, and that Lake Wedowee Discovery may decline, edit, remove, or request changes to any submitted content that is incomplete, inaccurate, inappropriate, misleading, or outside the service area.

Questions, corrections, update requests, advertising materials, or cancellation requests may be sent to Lake Wedowee Discovery. Advertisers should include the advertiser name, business or organization name, placement type, and the requested change.
